What Is Cywhite?

Cywhite is a biomimetic skincare extracted from Cystoseira tamariscifolia- a rainbow alga. These rainbow algae have branches covered with spines and become iridescent when immersed in water. When exposed to light of varying intensity, this rainbow algae differs in various water depths and with the tide. The iridescence effect enables these algae to boost the diffusion of surrounding light to chloroplasts. This marine skincare ingredient is soluble in water and is harvested by hand for commercial purposes. It is used in skincare products such as brightening face serum to provide a skin-brightening effect.

Does It Help In Skin Brightening?

Cywhite is a marine-derived skincare ingredient that helps with skin brightening by inhibiting melanin production, the pigment responsible for skin darkening. It works by focusing on the molecules involved in the absorption of melanosomes, thus promoting an even skin tone. It inhibits melanogenesis, thus reducing pigmentary imperfections such as hyperpigmentation, making your skin appear more luminous.

Skincare products

At a 1% concentration in skincare products, Cywhite adds radiance to your skin and imparts an even skin tone. It helps with major skin imperfections such as dark spots, hyperpigmentation, and uneven skin tone and resurfaces the skin, improving the texture and appearance of your skin. The two major versions of Cywhite used in skincare products are Cywhite G and Cywhite GP. Cywhite G is primarily used in many skin-brightening serums to improve skin tone, adding a youthful sheen to the skin.
