Precautionary Tips

  • Make sure you have no skin allergies towards castor oil, or any of the other ingredients mentioned above, before adopting the recipes. If you observe any sort of irritation or redness, then avoid any further usage of the same.
  • Castor oil should not be applied directly over open wounds and bruises.
  • Ingestion of castor oil isn’t recommended as a treatment for dark circles. The oil is a stimulant laxative and there are chances that it may affect bowel movement and induce diarrhea or cramps if taken orally.
  • Make sure the oil doesn’t enter your eyes at any cost while applying it underneath them. It can cause irritation and discomfort and should be flushed out with clean water immediately.
  • Reduction of dark circles and baggy eyes will only be visibly notable over a prolonged period of regular and intense usage. There is no shortcut to this.
  • However, if you don’t see any difference ever after a few weeks of regular usage, it is best to consult a medical practitioner for further advice.
  • If you're under medical care or a severe medical issue, consult your doctor before introducing the use of castor oil. Expecting and nursing mothers should consult a doctor before introducing castor oil or any other major ingredient in their routine.
